Reviews:

The reviews were all positive except for a couple. Customers mentioned over an over how easy it was to use.  “You just connect it to the plug under the dash, press a couple of buttons, and in a few seconds the stupid light goes off. Doesn’t even need batteries! It shows a code which you can then look up (using the included manual) to find out what caused the problem”.  Many liked it for checked the dreaded check engine light.  “The “check engine” light should never be ignored (especially if it’s the first time you’ve seen it on your car), but if you’re one of those unlucky folks (like me) who’s car repeatedly turns it on for a non-severe reason, this is a great little gadget. You just connect it to the plug under the dash, press a couple of buttons, and in a few seconds the stupid light goes off. Doesn’t even need batteries! It shows a code which you can then look up (using the included manual) to find out what caused the problem”.  Others said it worked well for there 02-Sensor Codes.  It seems people like this reader because it simple and can tell you why the check engine light is on, and the fact that it can turn it off.

There were less negative reviews on this scanner than any others, it seems that its mainly to do with the fact that does what it says it will do.  Although compared to the other tools it doesn’t do very much.  “no frills, etc. It will extract and erase your fault codes from your PCM or EEC. Be prepared to do research on the cause or repair for the fault code. It isn’t going to tell you how to fix your vehicle”.  The other main complaint was that the cord was short. “The cord is short. Its OK, but the unit will not raise to a comfortable chest height connected to the OBD II jack, one has to crouch down” but if your sitting the drivers seat you’ll be ok.
